In 1971, the average five-year survival rate for all cancers was roughly 50%. Today, that number is around 70%, thanks to incredible advancements made by scientists in the fight against cancer.
In this blog, we will discuss some of the incredible advances that are assisting people in their fight.
- Immunotherapy: Immunotherapy works by enhancing your body’s natural defense mechanism, which allows it to look for and eliminate cancer cells. Cancer has a way of sneaking in and concealing itself from your immune system. Scientists were able to study tumors and identify biomarkers that, when combined with immunotherapy, activate your immune system to target the cancer cell.
2. Brachytherapy– Brachytherapy is an intriguing method of treatment that involves inserting a radioactive pellet, such as iodine or palladium, into the site of the malignant tumor. When compared to conventional radiation, which affects more of your body, this type of radiation treatment has fewer side effects especially on brain tissue. This form of treatment has been utilized in cancers such as the prostate, cervix, and brain.
3. At home genetic testing– Nothing beats being able to take control of your own health. People can now use at-home genetic testing kits to determine whether they are carriers of the three BRCA gene variants related to breast and ovarian cancers. You can complete this examination by purchasing a kit from the company 23 and Me. However, there are thousands of potential BRCA mutations, and at-home genetic testing cannot identify them all. If you have a family history of cancers that can be passed down genetically, you should consult a doctor to have more extensive testing.
4. Enterade Advance Oncology Formula– Advances in cancer treatment are critical, but they only go so far if the side effects of those treatments cause you to discontinue therapy. Enterade is clinically proven breakthrough in managing cancer treatment induced side effects like diarrhea, nausea, dehydration, unwanted weight loss and fatigue.

Enterade helps to rebuild the damage to the intestinal villi caused by chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy.
When the villi are damaged, the gut’s ability to absorb nutrients is inhibited. enterade promotes better nutrient absorption helping patients maintain a healthy weight while undergoing cancer treatment. Additionally, cancer treatments cause gaps to form in the protective barrier of the gut. When these gaps form, harmful toxins and bacteria can pass from the intestine into the bloodstream. enterade helps to close those gaps to prevent harmful toxins from entering the body–ultimately helping to prevent symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, malaise, and fatigue.

Received my first shipment, no directions what so ever. Could use a little help here. Especially if you expect me to repurchase Enterade.
Hi Sharon, I apologize for the confusion. You should have received a pamphlet with instructions. However, enterade® is formulated to be used leading up to, during, and post treatment while symptoms last. Drink one bottle of enterade® twice per day on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after consuming food or drink). Do not mix enterade® with any other food or drink. Refrigerate after opening. Most people report improvement in symptoms after 3 to 4 days of continued use and significant improvement after 7 days of continued use. You can find more information and these instructions on our website’s homepage and FAQ section on enterade.com. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
I am 4 yrs post treatment but still having lots of fatigue and gut issues. Will Enterade help this far past tx?
Hi Debbie, yes, enterade can still help you with your fatigue and long-lasting gut issues despite not being on treatment. Cancer treatment is effective at killing cancer cells, but it also harms the healthy cells that line your intestines. The healthy cells in your GI, called villi, oversee nutrient absorption. Many patients lose weight during treatment due to villi damage. Additionally, treatment can cause gaps to form between the healthy cells in the gut, allowing harmful toxins and bacteria to enter the bloodstream. This results in nausea, diarrhea, and overall fatigue. If not treated, these side effects can be long lasting. enterade can help to rebuild and protect your gut from these long-term side effects. Here is a blog we wrote about long term side effects and enterade if you would like to read more https://enterade.com/blog/long-term-side-effects-during-cancer-survivorship/ .
