Why should I take enterade® IBS-D?
Enterade IBS-D contains a precise combination of amino acids, electrolytes and minerals that work naturally with your body to support and maintain normal digestive function and balance. It works by decreasing fluid secretion within the GI tract, improving hydration and helping to manage diarrhea and its associated symptoms.
What symptoms does enterade® IBS-D help to manage?

Has enterade IBS-D been clinically tested?
Yes. An enterade IBS-D clinical study among IBS-D patients was completed in May 2023. In the study, 88% of participants reported less intense symptoms in just two weeks. The study also showed improvement in quality of life and work productivity. Study data will be published shortly.
How soon will I start feeling better using enterade IBS-D?
Based on clinical test results, IBS-D patients can expect to start seeing results within the first 7 days of use and can continue seeing symptom improvement through 14 days of use.
Is enterade IBS-D a low FODMAP food?
Yes. enterade IBS-D is a low FODMAP food. enterade IBS-D has completed product testing and is currently certified as a Monash University low FODMAP beverage. While enterade IBS-D contains chamomile, it is included at low enough levels to meet the low FODMAP criteria.
Is Stevia acceptable in a FODMAP diet?
Yes. The sweetener Stevia is low FODMAP.
Do I need a prescription for enterade® IBS-D?
No, you do not need a prescription for enterade® IBS-D. enterade is a medical food that provides targeted dietary support of GI dysfunction associated with IBS-D. It intended for use under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
What is a Medical Food?
Medical foods are foods that are specially formulated and intended for the dietary management of a condition or disease that has distinctive nutritional needs that cannot be met by normal diet alone.
enterade® is a specially formulated with amino acids, electrolytes and minerals aimed at helping to manage IB-D symptoms including dehydration, diarrhea, bowel urgency and discomfort. A medical food should be used while under the care of a physician.
How should I take enterade IBS-D®?
Use as directed by your healthcare provider. For best results, drink one 8oz bottle up to two times daily, on an empty stomach: at least 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after consuming food. Do not mix enterade® with any other food or beverage to ensure maximum effectiveness in managing IBS-D symptoms. Shake well before use. Best served chilled.
How long can I take enterade® IBS-D?
enterade IBS-D can be taken once or twice per day as part of your daily routine. enterade® can be taken for as long as symptoms persist. Please consult your healthcare provider with any questions or concerns.
What are the main ingredients in enterade® IBS-D?
enterade® IBS-D contains a patented blend of amino acids along with electrolytes and minerals. It contains natural flavors along with chamomile and ginger.

Amino acids are the building blocks of your body and come from the foods you eat, especially from foods that contain protein, like meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, beans, and nuts.
Amino acids play an essential role in your body’s health. They naturally enable important internal processes which continuously fine-tune and rebalance the body at a cellular level.

How can you patent amino acids if they are so common?

Why do you use Stevia as a sweetener?
Sugar can aggravate fluid loss when experiencing diarrhea and contributes unnecessary calories. enterade IBS-D does not contain sugar. To provide a good taste experience, enterade IBS-D contains pure Stevia as a natural, zero calorie sweetener. enterade IBS-D does not contain erythritol.
How is enterade® IBS-D different from oral rehydration solutions (ORS) or other glucose-based electrolyte products?
enterade® IBS-D utilizes a patented amino acid blend that provides a unique transport mechanism to naturally support and maintain digestive function while replenishing and retaining fluid loss caused by frequent diarrhea, without the use of sugar. In addition to helping rehydrate your body, enterade works with your body’s natural processes to help support and maintain normal digestive function and balance.
Are there any adverse reactions or drug interactions?
If you have a known allergy or food sensitivity to any of the ingredients in enterade IBS-D, including Stevia, do not use enterade IBS-D.
Can people with IBS-M (mixed), which is IBS with both diarrhea and constipation, take enterade IBS-D?
Our formula has been specifically formulated to help provide relief for people with IBS who are predominantly experiencing diarrhea as part of their condition. As a sufferer of IBS-M, it may be suitable to use enterade IBS-D when you are experiencing episodes with diarrhea. We would not recommend taking the product if you are experiencing constipation or passing hard stools -- please seek medical advice for these symptoms.
Can people with IBS-C (constipation) take this product?
Our formula has been specifically formulated to help provide relief for people with IBS who are predominantly experiencing diarrhea as part of their condition. We do not recommend taking the product if you are experiencing constipation or passing hard stools, please seek medical advice if you are experiencing these symptoms.
Is enterade® IBS-D Certified Kosher?
enterade® is not Certified Kosher. This means it has not been inspected and approved by a kosher certifying authority. While our product may meet certain dietary preferences or restrictions, individuals who strictly adhere to kosher dietary laws may choose to avoid it due to the absence of kosher certification.
Is enterade IBS-D covered by insurance or eligible for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA)?
enterade® may be eligible for reimbursement from health insurance plans. Coverage depends on the insurance provider and plan. Patients should check with their insurance company to see if they cover medical foods when prescribed for a medical condition.
